Hi, and Welcome to LokiPowers.com.
We’d like to take a moment and tell you a little about us.
Loki Powers Photography has grown massively over the past 12 months, and we have gained fans from all over the world. It’s still quite touching to see you all liking our photos, and commenting on the Facebook wall. Due to the success we had last year, and the sheer amount of events we have lined up this year with Relentless Racing, Team Scorpio, Team Dori Hero and The British Drift Championship, we have decided to take on another photographer.
As its not not just me taking photos, this page has changed slightly. Below we will now have biographies for the photographers that will be working for LP. Enjoy!
Loki Powers
I’ve been taking photos since I was a little kid. I started taking it seriously in 2009 when I bought my first DLSR on Christmas Eve. I spent a year getting to know the camera, and doing some band shoots. When Relentless Racing invited me to take some shoots, I knew I had found my calling. I’ve been with RR ever since, and have progressed so much with my photos, it still shocks me. In 2011 Loki Powers became the Official Photographer for Relentless Racing and Team Scorpio, and in 2012 hope to continue those commitments, while adding Media Coverage for Team Dori Hero, and working closely with The British Drift Championship.

Slater "4G63" O'Brien
I'm the newest member of LP, so here goes, my name is Slater O'Brien, I've been into my photography for around 7 years now ever since I got my first compact camera, with my Dad & Grandad both being into photography themselves it was only a matter of time before I got the bug, with my dad also being a full on petrol head it wasn't long before I caught that aswell so it all started there. My Dad was into his Japanese performance cars, going to shows & I always went with him. From then on I've never looked back, a family day out for me is a day out with my Mum, Dad & Sister to car shows, race days & trackdays amongst other stuff....photography has been a great part of my life & since about 2009 I decided I wanted to be a professional motorsport/automotive photographer, which led to me doing what I do now.
I'm currently studying a 2 year, level 3 National Subsidiary Diploma in Photography, Creative Media & Graphic Design. I'm in my first year of the course at Boston college in Lincolnshire & I'm loving it. I couldn't see myself doing anything else now, although I work in a kitchen as a catering assistant at the minute, I can’t really complain as its funding my photography & driving fees. I am only 17 & have just started driving but I'm looking forward to the day I pass my test & get my first wheels as it were!
On to the business side, although I am part of LP I am currently in the process of setting up my own little side business to work alongside LP as a long term partnership for the two. This idea came to me about 6 months ago when a friend saw my talent & asked me to photograph his car for him, he was pleased with the end result & ever since has been asking me for images & recommending me to his friends. This brought about a lot of work which was overwhelming as I didn't expect anything to take off as fast as what it did & with such a good response.
The time came that I had a big enough demand to start charging, so I did; business brain on! I did some cost working with my dad & college tutor & agreed on a series of different packages & prices. With this I needed a businessy name & brand, so on came S.O Automotive Photography.... With this came the production of advertising, e.g business cards etc...and my 2 kind of webpages, one as a fan page on Facebook & the other in the form of a flickr account - www.flickr.com/photos/scobrien.
And I am now pleased to announce my arrival into the LP media team & family, alongside Relentlessracing.org, CrewsVS & Team Scorpio, although having seperate clients outside of LP I have now transferred all of this work into my LP production, showcasing my work & abilities on here now with my own pre-arranged agreements before LP & creating new ones since joining LP.
I’m looking forward to proving myself in LP in 2012, I love a challenge but we shall see what 2012 brings, I will be attending as many events this year as possible whilst continuing with my normal shoot plans for LP, so here’s to 2012, Myself & being part of LP :D
Thanks for having me!!
Slater :-)
